Reece was born on September 30th, 1968. He was raised in the greater Chicagoland area. Reece has been playing saxophone since 1979. In high school, he dove into music theory heavily after the passing of his father. It was at that time, that he taught himself how to play piano and drums, although he hasn't played either in years, he still uses his sax from time to time.

In his senior year of high school, Reece started to write: A little here and a little there. Mostly, he was writing short poems. There were a few ideas, though, that he had jotted down and later turned into short stories.

He served two years in the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. Once he was discharged, Reece started work as a firefighter for one of the southwest suburbs of Chicago. During that time he began to focus more on his writing.

In 1996, Reece graduated from the Illinois Center for Broadcasting and began to look for work in radio. In 1997, while working part time at a local radio station, he finished his first manuscript, "Breathe". A manuscript that he initially started writing while still in the army. This work is available on this web site.

Reece's second manuscript, "Mind Games" was completed in 2001. Included in this manuscript is a sample of the more than 30 poems that he has written. This work is now available also on this web site.

One of his poems is featured in a coffee table edition book, released in August 2001, called "The Joy That Follows". Some other examples of his poetry should be out soon. These poems can be seen at Poetry.com.

"As I See", which has just been released, is a collection of all his poetry, still photography, and a short insightful piece. It is available on this web site.

In all his work, a little of Reece's life experiences are used to promote a plot. From being a soldier, a firefighter, to a security guard, Reece has lived a part of it; as well as using bits and pieces of ghost stories, told by his late father, when Reece was just a child. And as long as he can still live and breathe, Reece feels that he will have things to write about.
